Overview:

When competing with the big boys of Las Vegas hotel accommodation, there are two things that you need to maintain: reasonable prices and a memorable experience. South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa is doing a pretty good job on both fronts with a successful catalogue of unique entertainment services. We mentioned the bowling alley, which is sufficiently cool. There is also some of the more standard, yet still alluring, Vegas fare with weekly performances from the likes of The Magic of Motown & More, Déjà vu and Yellow Brick Road.

South Point has its own barber shop, which teaches you that a perfect shave is a six-step process. We’re hoping that ‘remove lid’ and ‘apply shaving gel’ count as steps one and two – otherwise we’ve been living a terrible lie for the last two decades.

The crown jewel for South Point is its Arena and Equestrian Centre. Sure, we’re all cowboys at heart, but there’s a lot more going on here than mere horseplay. The venue hosts a range of events, such as Comic Con, the USA/BMX Las Vegas Grand Nationals and the World Series of Team Roping. Then, after a day at the rodeo you can relax in the Costa Del Sur Spa and Salon.

Although it may not have the same euphoric party atmosphere as other hotels, South Point offers a unique experience that could easily entice you to mosey on over for a night or two.
