Overview:
The main reason to stay at the Polo Towers Suites is if you want to combine the action of the Strip with the chance to retreat at times to your own private apartment. Located just opposite the Mandarin Oriental, the Polo Towers is not a hotel in the traditional sense: the complex features no restaurants, room-service, casinos or bars (apart from the mini variety!). What the Polo’s family-friendly one- and two-bedroom condo suites do boast, however, are fully equipped kitchens, allowing guests to enjoy the comfort of home-cooked meals while relaxing on a balcony overlooking Sin City’s most famous boulevard.
Obviously, the downside to the Polo Towers is that if you don’t feel like cooking, you’ll have to venture out onto the Strip, though, given the density of eating options in the vicinity, that’s hardly a demanding prospect. Entertainment and gaming facilities are limited to a roof-top pool, an aquarium and a movie rental store (despite the complex’s name, there’s no polo playing-field attached!). As with restaurants, if you want to game or see a show, you’ll have to leave the premises.
Whether you’ll enjoy the Polo Towers Suites is highly subjective. It’s well-located and a great place for people who want to combine eating-in with going out. Families will particularly appreciate it, though the lack of at least one in-house restaurant for when you don’t feel like cooking is a major letdown.
