What makes it Special? Every room and suite in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino features a “movie memorabilia set against a backdrop of stylish, modern luxury”. That leaves room for interpretation, but if the people who design the rooms have the same affection for movies as those designing the restaurants, there’s reason for optimism.
Entertainment Attraction: Apparently Hollywood can bring out the naughty side in some hotels. At least that’s the case at Planet Hollywood, which features Coco Austin’s Peepshow on one hand and Sin City Comedy on the other. The latter’s a two-time winner of the “Best of Las Vegas” award.
Number of Rooms: 2,567
Overview:
When we think Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, we think of cool things like the famous bikini sported by Ursula Andress in Dr. No. Then we think of other things like Freddy Krueger’s razor-decked glove from Nightmare on Elm Street and promptly find ourselves in the fetal position, crying for our mommy.
We’ve always associated Planet Hollywood with memorabilia.
But now, however, the good people from the PH also have us thinking about comfort and luxury, with their eight different categories of rooms and five different suites. This includes accommodations with names like the ‘Mountain Luxury Room’, ‘Premium Fountain View’, and even the ‘Petstay Resort’ for people who don’t trust the neighbors to take care of Fido.
We already mentioned the naughtiness before but it probably bares – we mean bears – repeating. Peepshow is Vegas’ only celebrity striptease show. If you’re still on the fence, remember that the striptease stars Coco Austin from the TV show Ice Loves Coco. What? We thought that qualified as added incentive. If Coco’s show is a little too revealing, remember there is also Sin City Comedy, which combines comedy and burlesque.
When you need to recharge your batteries between those two sinful shows, you can check out a number of great dining options, including the Spice Market Buffet – one of Vegas’ best. Another selection is the upscale steakhouse Strip House, for which the menu includes, among other things, truffle creamed spinach, goose fat potatoes and a 24-layer chocolate cake. Time to pre-diagnose that food coma you’re about to fall into.
After all that hard work you can either check out Planet Hollywood’s four nightlife options, including the Eastern-inspired Koi Lounge, or get pampered at the Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara.
