Paris Las Vegas

Location: 3655 Las Vegas Boulevard South (The Strip)

What makes it Special? This whole City of Lights concept really appeals to us – it has a certain je ne sais quoi. Actually, we think it has something to do with 46-story replica of the Eiffel Tower.

Entertainment Attraction: Who loves you, baby? Our eyes adored The Jersey Boys and so will yours. Now walk like a man and check it out, we’re beggin’ you (with our most sincere apologies to The Four Seasons).

Number of Rooms: 2,916

Overview:

There are eight categories of suites, including the Red Room Luxury and Red Room Premier. Designed by Cagley and Tanner, these suites are located on the hotel’s highest floors and come equipped with sofas shaped like puckered lips. The Red Room Premier suites also have a view of the Eiffel Tower and pool.

There are a couple of other intriguing entertainment options such as Taylor Hicks – the American Idol winner from 2006 – and hypnotist Anthony Cools. Would you trust a hypnotist with a name like Cools? Us neither. But the act we would really like to check out is Napoleon’s Dueling Pianos. We have high expectations after watching the dueling banjos in Deliverance – it’s the scene right before you change channels to avoid watching the rest of the movie.

The restaurant directory is a mixture of upscale, casual and quick bites – but as this is supposed to be inspired by Paris, we know you would prefer skipping to the high-end fare. First you have Gordon Ramsay Steak, which combines one of our favorite celebrity chefs with our favorite meats. Then you have the aptly named Eiffel Tower Restaurant, brought to you by Chef J. Joho. It’s a well-established fact that foie gras tastes better when eaten in a replica of Paris’ most prominent landmark.

Quelle surprise, most of the nighttime venues here have a French theme – fortunately they’re not hard to translate: Le Cabaret, Le Central, Le Bart du Sport, and Chateau Nightclub and Gardens. Our favorite is Napoleon’s Lounge – with all the cred he’s getting here we’re starting to think he was the good guy in the French Revolution.
