What makes it Special? At six-years-old it’s still just a kid. That’s a kid with a AAA 5-Diamond Rating, mind you.

Entertainment Attraction: For comedy we like David Spade. But it would be Rock of Ages if we’re in the mood for an epic musical – a mood that we’re in far more often than would be expected.

Number of Rooms: 3,066

Overview:

Let’s just cut to the chase on room rates. Unless you have a promo code of some sort this is probably out of your price range. In fact, we bet you $200 that it’s out of your price range because that’s still much, much less than spending a single night at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino.

So what justifies the expense? For starters, the smallest room you’ll end up with is still 720 square-feet. They have suites with alluring names like Lago, Fortuna, Bella and Siena. They even have ‘prestige’ versions of each of those suites.  The Prestige Fortuna has a 130 square-foot bathroom – we have no idea what we would do with that much space but it’s comforting to know it’s there, just in case.

We counted over 35 restaurants and eateries in the Venetian and Palazzo Resort but will stick to those based in the Palazzo where offerings range from the Grand Lux Café to CUT. The latter of these is home to the creations of Wolfgang Puck. Also featured are the likes of Mario Batali and Emeril Lagasse.

Not surprisingly, there is an abundance of night-time venues, including Fusion Latin Mixology Bar – the combination of handcrafted cocktails and anything Latin is right up our callejón (that’s Spanish for “alley”).

The Palazzo is one of the Strip’s premier resorts, which can only mean one thing: a mind-blowing pool deck. The specs are as follows: seven pools, four hot tubs, a poolside restaurant by Wolfgang Puck and 41 cabanas with…well, with pretty much everything. But before you get too excited, be mindful that those cabanas will set you back anywhere between $300 and $500 a day.
