Overview:
New York New York is kind of like the little hotel that wants to be bigger. Two thousand rooms may not be that small, but it’s far from a colossus like the Bellagio or Wynn.
The roster of entertainment is solid – just a notch below stellar. We already mentioned Zumanity but the hotel is also home to the likes of Blue Man Group and Shades of Temptation. The latter is touted as “a sophisticated chic take on the world of fetish and fantasy”. Sure it’s a topless show – but that doesn’t mean it’s not art.
There are about a dozen places you can eat and we have no doubt that a couple of them are classy (i.e. Gallagher’s Steakhouse). This will certainly appeal to many a patron. However we represent the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs demographic, and fortunately for us New York New York has two of them.
We already mentioned Shades of Temptation, so there’s really no reason for us to shy away from another one of the more salacious offerings. It works like this: so, you have “The Party Pit”. Within “The Party Pit” are “Party Pit Dancers”. Surrounding the pit are blackjack and roulette tables where said dancers can be better observed while players do their thing. Rarely has a concept been more full proof.
The hotel has your standard spa and salon treatment but really stands out by offering a variety of hydrotherapy sessions, including one where you bathe in milk. Oddly, this practice has never had the desired outcome when we’ve tried it at home.
While suites here are by no means cheap, they are a step below other names mentioned earlier.
