Overview:

When you enter the LVH Hotel, you’re entering a piece of Vegas’ history. Opened as the Las Vegas Hilton in 1969, the LVH has hosted Elvis concerts and boxing matches featuring Muhammad Ali. Its current entertainment attractions – such as the show ‘Raiding the Rock Vault’, which tells the tale of classic rock using a group comprised of ex-members of 80s bands – may not be as impressive as in the hotel’s heyday, but they still make for a scintillating Sin City night-out.

Aside from in-house shows and golf deals at the nearby Las Vegas Country Club, gaming is the LVH’s top attraction. The hotel’s race and sportsbook is the largest in the world, while its casino offers numerous poker rooms, countless slots and a comprehensive selection of table games.

The diversity of gaming options on offer in the LVH is mirrored by its approach to restaurants and bars. Dining runs the gamut from haute cuisine Japanese to more relaxed eateries like the Burger Bistro and the Tex Mex-themed Tatuado Restaurant & Cantina. The hotel offers an equally wide selection of bars, with each of its nine watering holes featuring a unique design – from sports-bar to the futuristic SpaceQuest cocktail lounge.

With a massive selection of accommodation – varying from blandly-decorated standard rooms to luxury Sky Villas – the LVH may be more expensive than most off-Strip options and a little past its prime, but this hotel’s illustrious past is an attraction in its own right.
