What makes it Special? Boasts the world’s largest slot
Entertainment Attraction: Mike Hammer Comedy Magic Show
Number of Rooms: 690
Overview:
When a hotel names itself Four Queens, you expect its casino to offer an impressive selection of card-based table games. The downtown-located Four Queens doesn’t disappoint fans of blackjack, Texas Hold’em and progressive three- card poker, while gamblers passionate about sport betting will be well-served by the hotel’s William Hill-operated sports book. However, the proverbial jewel in the Four Queens’ crown sparkles amidst an impressive collection of slots: ruling over all other one-armed bandits, the Queen’s Machine is the largest slot machine in the world.
Aside from gambling, the Four Queens offers only a small selection of in-house entertainment. Guests can chose between a live show at the Canyon Club, such as Mike Hammer’s magical-comedy potpourri, or drinks at the Chicago Brewing Co. Bar. Given the limited nightlife, after a meal at the fine dining restaurant Hugo’s Cellar or laid-back diner Magnolia’s Veranda, guests are likely to want to leave the hotel to check out the Fremont Street Experience, downtown Vegas’ most famous attraction. As the Four Queens is actually located within Fremont Street’s covered mall, it doesn’t even feel as if you’re leaving the hotel!
If you do choose to stay in the hotel it won’t be to spend time in your room or suite. Although these are inexpensive, they’re unimaginatively decorated and lack luxury fittings. While the rooms may not be fit for a queen, this letdown is balanced by the Four Queen’s excellent location and gaming facilities sophisticated enough to amuse Marie Antoinette.
