Hotel Guide

Location: 3570 Las Vegas Boulevard South (The Strip)

What makes it Special? Caesars Palace has six towers including The Forum, which features guest suites of 1,000 square-feet. That’s big enough to fit a reasonably-sized Roman legion.

Entertainment Attraction: This is a no-brainer. It’s gotta be Celine Dion. No, wait…Shania Twain. I mean Rod Stewart.  Jerry Seinfeld? Gary Chaw? Look, it’s Caesars – quality entertainment is never an issue here.

Number of Rooms: 4,000

Overview:

With all the great performances currently booked at Caesars Palace, we had planned to discuss the hotel’s dreary uneventful past from the 80s and 90s. We then received a courteous note from a certain Muhammad Ali, who informed us that it would be in our best interest to do some actual research.

Back to present day, where the Caesars Palace website boldly claims that their “luxury hotel sets the standard for opulent details.…” If a hotel is using a word like “opulent” on their site it means one of two things: 1) they just bought a thesaurus or 2) they can probably back it up. Turns out that Caesars was named the 2013 Best Strip Hotel by The Best of Las Vegas.

The casino at Caesars has just about everything, including the record for most $1 million casino slot machine jackpots in the world. Throw in one of the Strip’s best sports betting venues and an 8,500 square-foot casino poker room, and every other casino from back home starts looking like…remember that casino the guy was running out of his basement in Boiler Room? Yeah, like that.

Caesars has 16 restaurants for various occasions and times of the day and there’s no way we’re doing a full recap. Instead, we’ll summarize with three names: Savoy, Ramsay and Flay.  It’s also difficult to adequately summarize the Caesars many nightlife options but the best of the lot appears to be Pure, the 4-in-1 superclub.

Is there more to Caesars? For what you’ll pay there had better be – Qua Baths and Spa anyone?

It may be expensive but if it’s within your budget, there will never be a dull moment.
