Overview:

Those unfamiliar with Italian could be forgiven for thinking that ‘Bellagio’ translates as ‘beautiful’ after a stay in this exquisite hotel. In fact, the sublimely luxurious Bellagio Las Vegas is named after a town on Lake Como in northern Italy. This homage extends beyond the hotel’s name: in front of the main building there’s a mini-Lago di Como which boasts the Fountains of Bellagio, a dancing water feature attracting spectators from across Vegas.

Of course, guests in the hotel get the best view of the Fountains, though they’ll have to pay some of the steepest rates in town for the privilege. However, at the Bellagio you’re not just paying for a simple room – you’re paying to stay in a room that’s a work of art. It’s not only the Bellagio’s rooms that are artistically inclined: the hotel also features its very own fine art gallery.

Like other opulent Vegas resorts, the Bellagio offers guests a range of pools, gyms and golf course access. However, few of its rivals boast their own botanical gardens, and no other establishment houses Cirque du Soleil’s phenomenal water circus “O”.

The Bellagio’s willingness to go beyond mere excellence is exemplified by its approach to dining. Most resorts feature a couple of superb restaurants; the Bellagio Las Vegas has five, two of which are AAA Five Diamond restaurants. The hotel’s attitude to food is paralleled by its take on gaming. The Bellagio’s peerless casino houses over 2,300 slots and its poker room is nicknamed ‘The Office’ by the pros.

The Bellagio’s not in everyone’s price range, but if it’s in yours, look forward to a bellissimo stay!
