Overview:
You can’t get much closer to the action in Vegas than by staying at Bally’s Las Vegas, which is located just opposite the Fountains of Bellagio and linked by promenade with the Paris Las Vegas.
Bally’s has been hosting guests for 30 years. The hotel’s long track-record as a staple of the Strip is both an asset and a handicap. Sure, you’re guaranteed excellent service and an enjoyable stay – hordes of satisfied customers since 1973 can’t be wrong – but the hotel’s kitsch, homely décor seems to have changed little since it first opened.
Aesthetics aside, Bally’s Las Vegas hasn’t scrimped when it comes to amenities. The casino features a whopping 65 table games, more slots than you could spin in a lifetime, a Keno lounge, a sports book and frequent poker tournaments. Famished gamblers are offered an equally diverse selection of dining options, including Thai, sushi, Tex-Mex and the Bally’s celebrated Sterling Brunch with everything from lobster to champagne.
Guests wanting to burn off their recently-acquired calories can play tennis on one of the Bally’s eight courts, swim laps in the Blu Pool or play a few rounds of golf. If that sounds too energetic, why not take in the show Jubillee, named the “Best Las Vegas Showgirls” spectacle by the Review-Journal every year since 2000?
The range of shows, restaurants, gambling and other amenities offered by Bally’s Las Vegas is almost the most diverse to be found on the Strip. Admittedly, the hotel’s look is a little dated, but at least room rates tend to be lower than at the Bally’s trendier neighbors.
