What makes it Special? Alexis Park was Las Vegas’ first non-gaming resort property. Naturally it also claims to be Las Vegas’ best non-gaming resort property.

Entertainment Attraction: Monday nights are free admission to the Jest for Starters improve comedy show. Sunday nights you can see Eric “Travis” Wilson in the Cowboy Mashup Music Show. For every other night there are libations o’ plenty.

Overview:  Alexis Park has a little venue that goes by the name of Pegasus Lounge. You all know Pegasus: mythical winged horse, pure white (usually), figured prominently in Clash of the Titans. That’s a lot to live up to as an establishment. So, how does Alexis Park compare to flying horse with its own constellation?

The hotel has four categories of suites including the regal, majestic, crown loft and monarch. That last one makes us think of Monarch butterflies rather than a winged horse but we’ll give a point for style.

Alexis Park may not reinvent your vacationing experience but it does cover most of the basics. There are three “sparkling” swimming pools (don’t tell anyone but the secret ingredient is sparkles) along with a newly remodeled fitness room and salon and spa.

The lone dining establishment on the property is called the Alexis Gardens Restaurant. Fortunately, they’ve covered their bases with separate menus for happy hour, room service, breakfast and lunch/dinner. Although the breakfast menu fails to supply us with the much coveted cinnamon bun, all is forgiven thanks to something called the Belly Bomber Burger. We want our Belly Bomber Burger.

Look, if you’re not there to gamble there’s a 50/50 chance you’re there to get married instead. And if you’re not there to get married, then we assume you have your eye on certain burger of the belly bombing variety.

Let’s get back to the marriage thing. Alexis Park actually has multiple settings for your special day including ballrooms, a rooftop and a gazebo. Maybe this hotel won’t lift you into the heavens like Pegasus but it could have you sitting on top of the world.
