]]>The late 40s were known for their distinct celebratory feel.
When you think of Vegas in the late 1940s the setting that may come to mind is parlors filled with thick cigar smoke, live bands performing, men and women alike drinking and socializing to their heart’s content. The late 40s were known for their distinct celebratory feel. World War II was over, the war restrictions were lifted and a sense of liberation inspired individuals to take advantage of their new found freedom and live the good life.
Arguably, Vegas previously may have not been as pretty a sight as many might think. With all the attention on the Vintage Vegas era and its frivolous splendor, the general public often forgets that prior to this period there was a serious war underway. Apart from the military feel that the war imparted on the town, the stretch itself was an uninspiring road with a number of gas stations, fast food outlets and the odd slot machine or two. It wasn’t much to get overly excited about.
The stretch of land now known as the Vegas Strip was observed with great interest by many businessmen. Not to exclude the likes of Al Capone but the real brains behind the rise of The Strip was Bugsy Siegel. He spotted a gap in the market and had a vision for this stretch of land, partnering with a number of investors on hand to fit the bill for the development of the aptly dubbed ‘Sin city’. With the knowledge that people were travelling all the way to South America, namely Cuba, to have a good time, the idea was to bring a bit of Cuba to this strip of land and this they did well.
Charles ‘Lucky’ Luciano was recognized as the father of the underworld in Vegas.
First we have the notorious Charles ‘Lucky’ Luciano, who was recognized as the father of the underworld in Vegas. He played a pivotal role in the making of the Modern Mafia, with his enterprise of restructuring it to be more Americanized. He moved away from the traditional policy, which excluded trade with Americans and contributed towards the mafia being operated solely on the principle of profiteering. Born in Italy, Lucky Luciano’s claim to fame was his involvement in the New York underworld. His luck, however, ran out and later he found himself in prison, after which he was extradited back to his hometown where he lived out his remaining years.
Meyer Lanksy was also known as the mob’s accountant.
Second-in-line of the new modernized American mafia was Meyer Lanksy, who was also known as the mob’s accountant and played an instrumental part in taking out Joe ‘the boss’ Masseria. This led to the dawn of the Modern Americanized Mafia which was largely run by Luciano, Lanksy and Siegel. Together they ruled the New York underworld and enjoyed celebrity status.
All childhood friends, they developed a lasting business relationship, however, things turned sour when expectations that could not be met were created by Bugsy Siegel, which caused tension in the underworld.
Bugsy Siegel, as mentioned before, played a pivotal role in the development of The Strip. Deeply invested in the El Cortez Casino Hotel, both he and Lanksy had their eye on developing the Flamingo Hotel as well. Bugsy was assigned the task of sourcing the cash-flow for this development, and was successful in getting a number of underworld investors on board. However, his role became much more complex when he was placed in charge of the actual construction and development involved with the project. Unfortunately, this made him accountable for the project funds running dry. With little, if any, profit seen from the fruits of his labour, Busgy found himself in a sticky situation with a number of the investors, who laid their complaints at Lucky’s door.
Lucky negotiated with his fellow ‘business partners’ and they gave Bugsy some more time to work on the project. Bugsy was lucky enough to have a small profit to show after the review of his work, however this reprieve was short-lived as the costs piled up once more and the project was running at a loss again.
The underworld investors who Bugsy had approached to fund this project were no longer interested in excuses or cover ups and wanted Bugsy taken out. Lucky was left no choice and was said to approve the final go-ahead.
He made a career out of bootlegging during the Prohibition.
Al Capone, considered an urban Robin Hood of sorts, donated large amounts of the income he earned through his criminal activities to the poor and various other charities. He made a career out of bootlegging (the smuggling of liquor) during the Prohibition Era (1920-1933) and was involved in prostitution and gambling. However, Capone failed to stick around for the golden era wherein Luciano and his men ruled. Capone finally received and served a prison sentence for, of all things, tax evasion.
Not to be forgotten is the silky, smooth voice of Frank Sinatra, which came to define the Vintage Vegas era. A substantial amount of speculation surrounded his dealings with the mafia, as Sinatra was said to share relationships with a number of members of New York’s underworld. Those relationships reportedly enhanced his meteoric rise to success. Whether the allegations against him were true or false, his association with the mafia certainly had a lasting impact on his image. The influence which Sinatra had on Vegas in this era cannot be adequately expressed, suffice to say that it was omnipresent.
This is where it all gets interesting. The head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) starting from the mid-1930s, J.Edgar Hoover denied the existence of the mob and any kind of organized crime. This is presumably why the mob enjoyed such free reign and attained the amount of influence over administrative power that they did. There has been speculation about Hoover possibly being blackmailed by the mafia, and this may have contributed towards his bizarre yet firm opinion on the matter. Despite his denial of the existence of organized crime, Hoover is still considered the best agency director in the history of the FBI.
This notorious era, wherein dangerous men were held in high-esteem, will never be forgotten. Though all these Vegas players were thieving, conniving and/or unashamedly sought to line their pockets in anyway conceivable – they managed their activities with such style and panache that you can’t help but admire the way in which they conducted their business.
Blood money or not, the Vegas Strip’s success is largely due to the investments in the development. And by hook or by crook, not only is Sin City still standing but it’s flourishing, as empires have been built and are thriving on the outer skirts of Nevada.
If this article has you feeling nostalgic and longing for a touch of Vegas right now then put on your trilby, light up a cigar and try a round at an online casino.

]]>The Palms Casino Resort: Where You’ll Enjoy the Best Thanksgiving Dinner in Las Vegas.
We’ll admit to being rebellious when it comes to Thanksgiving – what else made us suggest Vegas over time at home with the family! – but we’re not completely untraditional when it comes to the holiday. That’s why you won’t find us recommending a Thai-Bulgarian fusion restaurant for Thanksgiving in Vegas. No, we advise keeping it traditional with turkey, pumpkin pie and sweet potato, but doing it all in gourmet Sin City style.
That’s why we recommend the Michelin-starred restaurant Alizé, which can be found on the top floor of the Palms Casino Resort’s Ivory Tower. While the view is spectacular, when the Thanksgiving menu’s this good, your eyes will be on your food, not the Vegas skyline. You get turkey and pumpkin pie with all the trimmings, but you also get a choice of Russian caviar, Salmon gravlax, seared scallops and other delicacies. Our mouth is watering just thinking about it, so let’s move on to after-dinner entertainment…
What visit to Sin City is complete without a Cirque du Soleil show? And spending Thanksgiving in Vegas is no exception! Considering the holiday is all about having fun with the ones you love, what better Cirque du Soleil show to check out on Thanksgiving Day than the troupe’s homage to the Beatles, Love?
Resident at the Strip’s Mirage Hotel, the show is more, much more, than a simple tribute to the Fab Four’s music. Yes, you get the Beatles top songs like ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’ and – of course! – ‘All You Need is Love’, but you’re also going to be thrilled and entertained by the gravity-defying acrobatics and aerial stunts we’ve come to expect from a Cirque spectacular.
Still can’t imagine the Beatles à la Cirque du Soleil? Check out this clip of a show that’s nothing short of a ‘Revolution’:
You can see Cirque’s Love at 7:00 pm or 9:30 pm on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 28th, as well as at the same times on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th November.
As well as a Cirque du Soleil show, when you visit Sin City you’ve gotta check out a concert as well. Vegas hosts some of the world’s best music shows, and this Thanksgiving weekend will be no exception. Our recommendation is neo-soul superstar Justin Timberlake, who’ll be rocking his body in Vegas on Friday November 29th and Saturday 30th at the MGM Grand on the Strip.
While Justin will be playing his hits like ‘Cry Me a River’ and ‘SexyBack’, you’re also gonna hear some of the top tunes from his highly-acclaimed recent album, The 20/20 Experience. Our favorite song from the album is his collaboration with Jay-Z, ‘Suit & Tie’. Check out the video of Justin and the Jigga:
Hopefully, Jay-Z (and maybe even Beyoncé) will make a guest appearance with Justin in Vegas! That would certainly make our Thanksgiving weekend.
Will you be spending Thanksgiving in Vegas this year? If you go, make sure you tell us all about your trip in the comments section below.

]]>Delaware the First State (to allow online gambling)
With Delaware’s online gambling launch on October 31st there were likely any number of legitimate concerns on the minds of stakeholders linked to the introduction of such enterprise. Most probably had to do with technical stability or adhering to legal requirements. From an outsider’s perspective it seems reasonable that these would spawn greater debate and concern than the actual processing of credit card transactions.
Unfortunately, that thinking hasn’t helped to circumvent the current situation.
For those planning to participate in the brave new world of online gambling with their credit card, it’s important to understand that policies resulting in declined transactions have more to do with certain banks than the credit card companies themselves. Among those banks refusing to process web gambling transactions are American Express Co. and Wells Fargo & Co. America’s financial institutions are not alone in imposing restrictions as payment processor PayPal is also refusing to get in the gambling game.
According to the banks, the apprehension is derived from the supposed potential of underage participants, as well as those living outside of state lines, whose activity would fall outside of the legislative framework and therefore be considered illegal. In the case of New Jersey, which is slated to launch online gambling on November 26th, the red flag raised by Delaware’s processing conundrum serves as a warning of what might be headed its way.
The news is not entirely surprising as Nevada, the first state to allow online poker earlier this year, has encountered issues with player account creation. But with the forthcoming New Jersey launch, we will see the country’s 11th most populous state offer a diverse selection of poker, slots and casino games.
The potential for growth and state revenues in New Jersey is immense and depending on how players attempt to engage online products such restrictions could prove problematic. The good news is that there appears to be room for flexibility on the part of Bank of America and PayPal, the bad news is that any changes in policy are likely to take more than a week.
This current situation exemplifies something many have known for quite some time: the continued passage of state legislation allowing on gambling requires the continued proactive education of all parties involved from players to financial institutions.

]]>The post Five Tips on How to Play Tournament Poker appeared first on Nevada Hotel Casinos.
]]>In the pursuit of improving your tournament poker skills, one is likely to find themselves working harder than ever before and employing methods they would have never conceived of previously. The good news is that the below suggestions do not involve anything that will make you feel ridiculous or put you at risk of bodily harm. What’s the bad news? For some individuals learning how to ride a unicycle while juggling flaming torches will prove easier than learning how to play tournament poker.
If you’re thinking: “It’s a quote from Rounders, it must be right,” then you are absolutely correct. Although you can’t always predict if your hand is a winner or a loser, paying attention to the other people at the table (be they man or woman) is your best bet at success. It will help you decide when to fold a seemingly strong hand and when to stick with a weaker hand and go for a walk down Bluff Avenue.
What? You thought this was all going to be poker strategy? Look, if you’re playing in your friend’s basement on a Friday night your buy-in is a six-pack and some Doritos. But if you’re getting into poker tournaments then you’re going to have to pay – just ask WSOP runner-up Jay Farber. Buy-ins will vary but if you can find someone who has faith in your abilities (or your mom still loves you) they may cover some cost in exchange for a cut of any winnings.
Maybe “enlightenment” is an exaggeration but then again Phil Hellmuth is a walking exaggeration (that was admittedly cheap but it felt right). It may be your lucky hoodie, a baseball cap, sunglasses (if you’re a creeper), a favourite playlist or any number of things. What’s important is that you find something that helps you feel secure and in a good mental space, because the table won’t always help you feel that way.
This tip is meant for those still working on their level of composure. Here’s why? If you want to get all belligerent or antagonistic at the table it’s your call. But you best be prepared for it to come right back at you three-fold. Maybe you’re at a table where everyone will just ignore you and pray for your imminent demise. But maybe sitting at your table is someone ready for a showdown, capable of upping the ante.
At the moment when a poker hand ends you may be filled with euphoria, disillusionment or indifference. Whatever the case, the best tip anyone can give on how to play tournament poker is to leave the last hand behind – the next one is a whole new battle. That’s easier said than done if you just swallowed a bad beat while holding a Full House (as per Jennifer Harman below) but that’s life. Stay out of your head and focus on the next mission…unless you’re out of money, in which case you’re dismissed.
Let us know in the comments if you found these helpful or if you have any tournament tips of your own.

]]>The post Countdown to the November Nine: Who’ll Win the WSOP Main Event? appeared first on Nevada Hotel Casinos.
]]>If we compare poker to football, then the November Nine, the nickname for the Final Table of the World Series of Poker, the WSOP Main Event, would be the equivalent of the Super Bowl. So for us poker-heads, the end of October is like the end of January for football fans: filled with excitement and anticipation.
Taking place on November 4th and 5th at the Rio Las Vegas, the WSOP Final Table pits nine of the world’s best poker players against each other. As we countdown to the highlight of the poker year, we’ve got a helluva lot more than nine questions – but only two of them really matter: who are the players and who’s most likely to win the event?!
The odds-on favorite to win the Main Event.
The favorite to win the WSOP Main Event is J.C. Tran, who’s already won two WSOP bracelets at events in 2008 in 2009, though has yet to triumph in the Main Event. Tran heads to the final table with 38 million in starting chips. The odds of the player nicknamed ‘Just Call’ Tran triumphing in November are just 9/5, according to online sports-book Bovada.
Snapping at Tran’s heels with odds of 9/2 and 29,700,000 in starting chips is Israeli player Amir Lehavot. The 38-year-old who’s currently based in Weston, Florida, is no stranger to WSOP victories, having won a 2011 Pot Limit Omaha event. Prior to the Main Event, Lehavot has cashed in an impressive 12 times at the WSOP.
Also in with a fighting chance of winning the WSOP Main Event is Marc-Etienne McLaughlin. The 25-year-old from Montreal, Canada, will sit down at the final table with 26,525,000 in chips. Bovada gives McLaughlin, who’s yet to win a WSOP bracelet, winning odds of 5/1. Close behind the Canadian is Ryan Riess, a 23-year-old from Michigan who’s already cashed in at three previous WSOP events. The young American player holds winning odds of 6/1 and 25,875,000 in chips.
In with less of a chance of triumphing at the Main Event is Jay Farber, who brings to the final table 25,875,000 in chips but limited poker-playing experience. This is only 28-year-old Farber’s second time playing in the Main Event. Bovada gives him odds of 7/1.
The remaining players have only an outside chance of winning at the Rio. Frenchman Sylvain Loosli holds 19.6 million in chips and Bovada has given him odds of 8/1 to win, while Dutchman Michiel Brummelhuis, has significantly lower starting chips (11,275,000) and winning odds (13/1). However, Brummelhuis’ chances are not as low as the two other Americans, Mark Newhouse (7,350,000 in chips and winning odds of 15/1) and David Benefield (6,375,000 in chips and also with odds of just 15/1).
Don’t go writing off Loosli, Brummelhuis or even Newhouse and Benefield just yet. Remember odds are just a guide: any one of them could win the WSOP Main Event and send J.C. Tran home early.
Who do you think will win the WSOP Main Event? Tell us in the comment section below. Watch the tournament on ESPN or, even better, head to the Rio to watch it live!

]]>The Venue: Bellagio Hotel and Casino
You knew Cirque de Soleil would be on this list somewhere, so why not just have them kick things off. “Cirque” is quickly becoming as synonymous with Vegas as many of the casino games you’ll find at the Bellagio. Inspired by “the concept of infinity and the elegance of water’s pure form”, “O” serves as homage to the role of theatre in all its forms via 13 different acts.
Performances incorporate aerial hoops, trapeze artists and synchronized swimming, among other things you shouldn’t try at home. Looking at the list of characters on the “O” website you will even find one by the name of L’Allumé who appears to be reading a newspaper…while on fire. Everyone knows that “Cirque” can put on a sizzling performance but this is just ridiculous.
The Venue: Quad Resort and Casino
Where were you in 1995? If your name is Justin Spencer you were busy founding “Recycled Percussion”. That’s right – instead of playing casino games Spencer was part of a troupe that would eventually garner international stardom by way of their 2009 run on America’s Got Talent.
There are doors, ladders, power drills, upside-down drums suspended 30-feet in the air and a whole lot more in the way of unorthodox musical modernizations. It all adds up to provide audiences with one of the most interactive shows in Vegas today. Wait – did we mention the training zoo? Well, you’re just going to have to check out the show or the Recycled Percussion website if you want to see more.
The Venue: Paris Las Vegas
We’re pretty sure there are no longer any song titles that can be cleverly incorporated into this article. That’s what happens when you’re one of the most successful and decorated musicals in history – we can’t give it anything but love and neither can Vegas.
Jersey Boys provides audiences with a great story in addition to its equally great musical performances – the hallmark of a classic in the making. The tale of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is one that resonates across the generations thanks to its blend of heart, tears and laughs. How did four blue-collar kids become one of the greatest successes in pop music history? You would be best served by finding out for yourself.
The Venue: Rio Suite Hotel and Casino
From a classic tale to one of farce, our final entrants are the renowned Penn and Teller. There was a time when we all enjoyed the mystery and misdirection of illusion. Now, while most of us don’t want to know everything, the “Bad Boys of Magic” have shown just how much fun it is to be let in on a few choice secrets.
The Rio has a pretty good arrangement with the dynamic duo, as they make themselves available after every show to meet their fans, sign autographs and take pictures. That’s assuming all the audience members make it to the lobby, as according to the Rio website P&T’s perilous performance includes “knives, guns, a fire-eating showgirl and a duck.” We’ve seen how ducks float on water – you just can’t trust that.

]]>Most people associate Las Vegas with sitting – whether it’s watching a Cirque du Soleil show, enjoying a meal in one of the world-class restaurants or trying your luck in a casino. Sin City does, however, have a much more active side, and we’re not just talking about going clubbing at the LAX nightclub! So, get out of your Vegas hotel this Halloween and into the fresh Nevadan air by going on the Las Vegas Zombie Run.
What?! We can imagine your surprise at the concept, so we’ll provide a little explanation. Taking place on Sunday October 27th, the Las Vegas Zombie Run isn’t just any sort of charity run – it’s a race involving undead obstacles. To participate, runners don’t have to dress up – though they can get in the Halloween spirit if they want! – because the race provides enough costume-clad zombies.
At the start-line of the 5 k.m.(a little more than 3 miles) or 1 mile runs, which take place on the Sunset Park Trails east of the Strip, runners are given a number of flags. During the race, you’ll have to negotiate hordes of zombies, who’ll try and steal your flags. If they rob you of all your flags before the finish line, then you’ve become one of them – a member of the undead! Check out last year’s Las Vegas Zombie Run to see what ghoulish frights await you:
Don’t worry if you lose all of your flags before the end of the race, though. The Las Vegas Zombie Run is for fun, but, even better than that, the event is also for charity. So not only will you get fit, have a great time and get scared witless by gangs of roving zombies, you’ll also raise money for the charity Generation Vegas, a non-profit organization working to promote local education.
So, what are you waiting for? You gotta get moving and register for the Las Vegas Zombie Run before the undead claim you!

]]>The post Upcoming Las Vegas Events: Evolution Extreme Action Sports appeared first on Nevada Hotel Casinos.
]]>There are Las Vegas events and there are those that are so thrilling and action-packed that the word ‘event’ sounds kinda pedestrian. The Evolution Extreme Action Sports show, which is in town from Friday November 1st to Sunday November 3rd, is most definitely one of the second sorts of Sin City night out.
Since 2010, the Evolution Extreme Action Sports tour has been revving its way across North America and thrilling crowds with an array of extreme sports. Their specialty is acrobatics and death-defying stunts involving freestyle motocross bikes, quad bikes, BMXs, skateboards and even snowmobiles.
The Evolution tour rock and rolls into Las Vegas on Friday November 1st. For the rest of the weekend the troupe of extreme-sport acrobats will be wowing crowds at the Cannery Casino Hotel’s entertainment venue, The Club. On Friday, the action kick-starts at 7:30 p.m. The weekend proper features a kids-friendly matinee performance at 1:30 p.m. on both Saturday November 2nd and Sunday November 3rd. There’s also another evening show at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday November 2nd. Tickets for all shows are $20 for adults and just $10 for the kids.
Those prices are unbelievably affordable when you consider the adrenaline fix you’re gonna get from the show. Check out the Evolution Extreme Action Sports team in action – quite literally! – in Halifax, eastern Canada.
Pretty cool, huh? Surely, if that hasn’t convinced you of the all-round awesomeness of the Extreme Action crew, we don’t know what will. If, though, like us you’ll now be heading down to The Club to check out the gravity-defying motorbike acrobatics, make sure you reserve a hotel that isn’t The Cannery. On our last trip to Las Vegas we were less than impressed by the accommodation there, which we found disappointing despite the range of Las Vegas events hosted in The Club. There are many preferable accommodation options nearby, including our personal favorite, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur.
If we don’t bump into you at the Evolution Extreme Action Sports event on the weekend of November 1st, make sure you tell us about your time in the comments section below. Was it your best time in Sin City or have you preferred other recent Las Vegas events?

]]>Now that summer’s over for another year, you might think that the Las Vegas events calendar becomes quieter and less crowded. Think again! After all, we’re talking Sin City – a city that never sleeps, even in the fall. Head down to this month’s Life is Beautiful Festival, a cultural extravaganza featuring music, eclectic cuisine and edgy art on the weekend of October 26th and 27th, and we guarantee that you won’t get much shut-eye.
Taking place not on the Strip but around the recently-refurbished downtown core, the Life is Beautiful Festival looks certain to be one of the highlights of this fall’s Las Vegas events. Where else in Sin City can you catch Southern rockers The Kings of Leon, who’ll be headlining on Saturday October 26th, the genre-defying Beck, who plays on the same night, and Vegas’ own superstar indie-rockers The Killers, who’ll perform on Sunday October 27th – all on one weekend?
As well as bands, there will also be an electronic music stage featuring celebrity DJs and an outdoor venue where the Cirque du Soleil troupe will perform excerpts from their shows Zarkana, Mystere and The Beatles – Love.
But don’t get the impression that the Life is Beautiful Festival is just about music. The weekend is also all about food. The festival’s Culinary Village showcases the gastronomic creations of more than 50 local restaurants in a massive – and highly aromatic! – al fresco market. The food on offer includes Japanese dishes from Kumi Japanese and Nobu Las Vegas, succulent grills courtesy of Michael Mina’s Strip Steak and Italian delicacies from Bratalian. If all that hasn’t whetted the appetite of your inner gourmand, we don’t know what will!
Aside from the festival’s culinary and musical delights, the weekend will also focus on visual art, showcasing the work of Puerto Rican muralists Alexis Diaz and Ana Maria as well as local graffiti artist Aware among others.
Talking of the visual side of things, why not check out what the Beautiful Las Vegas Festival looks like?
The Life is Beautiful Festival certainly looks exciting enough to take in. Get your ticket for either the whole weekend or for your preferred day – and we look forward to seeing you at the most beautiful and life-affirming of this fall’s Las Vegas events.

]]>The post World’s Tallest Ferris Wheel Soon to Open on the Vegas Strip appeared first on Nevada Hotel Casinos.
]]>Since American engineer George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr. built the first rotating observation wheel for the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893, it seems that there’s been constant competition to top his 264-foot tall achievement. Just two years after the original Ferris Wheel started turning, the Great Wheel (308-foot tall) in London, England, opened.
These Ferris wheels are, however, dwarfed by our 21st innovations. The London Eye, which opened in 2000, is 443-foot tall, while the Singapore Flyer, which started turning in 2008, hit the 541-foot mark, making it the tallest Ferris wheel on earth.
The South-East Asian island nation, though, is about to be topped and the city doing the topping is none other than Las Vegas. Caesars Entertainment Corporation is currently building a Ferris wheel on Sin City’s Strip known as the High Roller. The outer wheel of the towering structure, which will reach the 550-foot mark, began to be installed in September. This is the final stage in the High Roller’s construction, and the attraction is scheduled to open the doors of its 28 glass capsules to punters in early 2014.
The centerpiece of the $550 million LINQ shopping mall development situated between Flamingo Hotel and the Harrah Hotel-Casino on the Strip, the High Roller will offer those who choose to ‘roll with it’ stunning views of Sin City all the way out to Red Rock Canyon. A spokesperson for Caesars recently told Time magazine that a ride in one of the Ferris wheel’s capsules will cost approximately $30.
Check out some footage of the High Roller and the LINQ shopping mall to get an idea of what the complex will look like:
“It’s going to be a part of your visit to Las Vegas if you ride it or not,” High Roller Project Director David Codiga told Time. “It’s more or less impossible not to see if you come here.”
However, despite Codiga’s excitement, would-be high rollers should be aware that they won’t be visiting the tallest place in Las Vegas – only the tallest Ferris wheel in the city (albeit also on the planet!). The Stratosphere Hotel’s Observation Tower, which reaches a height of 1,149 foot, will remain the tallest observation tower in Vegas by far. Sure, it may not move, but, as far as we can tell, the High Roller’s capsules don’t feature fine dining of the caliber of the Stratosphere Tower’s Top of the World Restaurant.
What do you think of the High Roller? Will you ride the world’s tallest Ferris wheel? Tell us in the comments section!
