Celine Dion Labor Day Weekend Concerts

What to Watch in Las Vegas

The unofficial end of summer in the US is the Labor Day long weekend, which begins on Friday 30th August and runs through until Monday 2nd September. What better way to enjoy the holiday than by watching the Celine Dion Labor Day show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on the Vegas Strip?

The 45-year-old French-Canadian chanteuse is no stranger to Las Vegas or indeed Caesars’ Coliseum. Way back in 2002, Celine announced that she’d signed a 600-show contract to perform at the venue. Beginning in March 2003, she performed five-days-a-week at the Coliseum. The show, called A New Day…, was extended and carried on until 15 December 2007.

Celine has chosen the summer of 2013 to return for another residency at Caesars’ Coliseum. This time, her schedule isn’t nearly as busy. She began at the end of June, played some shows in early July before taking a break for the rest of the month to then perform more frequently in August.

While Celine’s not performing as intensively this time, each show remains just as intense. “Las Vegas’ biggest act since Elvis” is how Newsweek described the recent concerts.

While the atmosphere at any concert this month will be special, the Celine Dion Labor Day shows promise to be particularly spectacular. Aside from the weekend being the best US holiday this side of 4th July, they’ll be Celine’s last performances before her New Year’s Eve spectaculars on December 30 and 31.

On the Labor Day weekend, you can catch Celine at the Coliseum on Saturday August 31 or Sunday September 1 (like everyone else, the diva deserves a night off on Labor Day proper!). Tickets start at $55 and go up to $250 for a more deluxe experience. They can be bought on Celine’s website.
